Lisbon Cathedral is a working church and the seat of the Patriarch of Lisbon. It is closed to tourist visits on Sundays and holy days, and visits are suspended during services on other days too.
The online ticket is non-refundable, so book it for a weekday or a Saturday, and come in the morning if you can. You can still see the façade, and tram 28 rattling past it, any day of the week.

A route through the Romanesque naves and the Gothic ambulatory with its chapels and tombs, the climb to the upper choir and the balcony between the bell towers, with a close view of the rose window, and the Treasury museum, with reliquaries, vestments and liturgical silver.
A guide (add the Sé Digital phone guide or book a guided walk). The sacristy isn't open to visitors, and the cloister, with its archaeological excavations, isn't part of the standard route: ask at the desk whether it's open.
